From the bicycle brand that brought you the revolutionary 2022 Road Bike Marketed as a Gravel Bike comes the next breakthrough in bicycle trendiness: the 2023 Mountain Bike Marketed as a Gravel Bike, or MTBGB for short. Completely redesigned and reengineered to handle those same old roads people have been riding bikes on forever, the 2023 MTBGB is truly a state-of-the-art do-it-all workhorse.
The heart of the MTBGB is in the revolutionary new frame design. Beginning with the timeless two triangle standard, our design team pulled inspiration for the MTBGB’s geometry from the entire pantheon of bicycle history. Road, BMX, downhill, cross country, time trial, motocross, tandems—a little bit of everything went into this frame.
Except triathlon bikes, of course.
While at first glance it may look just like last year’s model, rest assured that the nearly unnoticeable adjustments to chainstay length and head tube angle translate to drastic improvements in handling and power transfer on the trail. Can you spell Strava KOMs? We can, and we did.
We take cargo seriously—that’s why we added over 75 bottle bosses to the 2023 MTBGB. The fork alone sports 22 braze-ons—the only limit to what you can carry is your imagination. Utilizing standard bottle mounts, the 2023 MTBGB can carry up to 23 water bottles. That’s 506 oz of H20 to get you through even the longest days in the saddle.
If 500+ oz isn’t enough, we even developed a proprietary mount to carry 10 gallons of water up front: the CamlHump (sold separately). Perfect for summer desert touring, farming in California, or impending nuclear fallout—any situation where water is hard to come by—the CamlHump ensures you will stay optimally hydrated no matter the circumstances.
But we didn’t stop there, because we don’t know where to stop. Our proprietary line of bolt-on accessories include essentials such as TheKitchn, the BikeSpresso, and the KittyKarry—pending OSHA approval.
We consulted with top engineers from Formula 1 and NASA to design an all-new drivetrain, the likes of which were once thought to be a mechanical impossibility. Introducing: our brand new, completely proprietary 1x18 drivetrain.
This drivetrain features “Fully Actuated Range for Climbing Excellence” (F.A.R.C.E.) technology with a wide-range cassette spanning 11 - 112t (yes, 112, that’s not a typo) crafted specifically with climbing in mind. Like, actual climbing. Load the MTBGB with everything you’ve ever brought along car camping and still conquer the steepest hills with ease.
Our engineers tested every drop bar on the market before deciding they needed something… wider. No, wider. Wiiiiider. The result was, dare we say, Gravelicious. Where the Gravelicious bars really shine is while trying to apply enough leverage to control the front end with nearly 85 lbs of water attached via the CamelzHump rack.
We here at Trendy Bike Brand believe the 2023 MTBGB has a place in any cyclists quiver. We've taken everything mountain bike designers were doing 10 years ago, exaggerated it, stuck drop bars on it, and rebranded it. The 2023 MTBGB is optimized for gravel measuring 1/4” to 1/2” in diameter or paved roads with 1/5” to 3.5” potholes. For the optimal bike in conditions outside those ranges, please check out our ever growing product range of other “do-it-all, quiver killer” bike models.
We know we said you could do it all on last year’s bike, but on the 2023 model, you can do more than all of it.
